Amy is currently Director of Real Estate at Cogent Communications in the Greater Chicago Area. Her experience spans corporate real estate, negotiation, transaction management, strategic initiatives, acquisition, asset management, commercial leasing, and due diligence. 

She is a well-rounded real estate professional who also teaches for the Ward Center for Real Estate Studies at the CCIM Institute. 

Prior to joining Cogent Communications in 2010 she was a Managing Director at Cypress Communications with real estate budget responsibility for 700+ locations including office leases, warehouse leases, and telecom license agreements. She also performed due diligence and was the team leader in both disposition and acquisition. Negotiating more than 85 real estate contracts per year. She achieved cost reductions of 30% over a 3 year period

She has represented cable TV providers in municipal hearings. Negotiated over 100 cable television franchises. Amy has also represented health care entities and telecommunications carriers in the Minnesota State Legislature and other governmental bodies.
