Strategic Advisor for Data Center Site Selection

 

In 2013, Comcast looked to locate their data centers to be in closer proximity to their customer base.  In order to accommodate this new product launch, these data centers needed to provide comparable work environments to one another, and have the ability to expand contiguously and with close proximity to the Comcast network.

 

In less than 120 days, Jim toured and negotiated 8 transactions that would meet their needs, accommodate their growth, including any future acquisitions..

Strategic Advisor for Off-Market Data Center Site Selection

 

DuPont Fabros Trust (DFT), a real estate investment trust, that specialized in wholesale data centers was looking to purchase a data center facility with close proximity to power and fiber.

 

We identified an off-market transaction, completed a power and fiber analysis, acted as liaison with the local government and facilitated a property tax abatement that reduced DFT’s tax obligation for 10 years.

 

We also helped DFT secure an anchor tenant to lease more than 5 MW of the 36 MW, 500,000-square-foot facility.
